Memorial service for the late Robert Bob Collymore is currently underway at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.
Yesterday, Bob Collymore’s wife announced that mourners attending her husband’s memorial service should not dress in black as it has been the norm in such events. Instead she requests anyone attending the service to be colorful because it was not all about mourning but a celebrating of a life.
Wambui sent a message during JKL show on Citizen TV, a message that was read out by her husband’s close friend Jeff Koinange.
“Wambui doesn’t want you to dress in black. Wear colorful stuff because we are not mourning Bob, we are celebrating him” Jeff said as he read the message on live TV.
Bob’s close friends now popularly known as ‘The Boys club’ met yesterday night on Jeff Koinange Live to remember their departed friend. The club comprises of ‘big boys’ Aly Khan Sachu (financial analyst), Patrick Quarcoo (CEO Radio Africa), Jeff Koinange (Citizen TV), Nic Hailey (UK High commissioner to Kenya), Peter Keneth (former presidential candidate), Bharat Thakrar and Joshua Oigara (KCB).
The Safaricom CEO passed on early Monday after battling cancer for two years.
Well, the service is currently underway but it looks like some guests might have missed the special announcement or they got it when they had already dressed for the event.
