A former Kericho women rep aspirant who has been an active social media user has over the last few weeks surprised her friends supporters after she went missing online.
Bati Vicky Chepkorir’s Facebook account is no longer available, raising concerns on why she could have deactivated her account, where she is and probably what she’s up to. Her friends and supporters noticed she was missing when they failed to see her usual series of Facebook posts.
Bati who recently moved to the United States has been an active social media user posting all kind of stuff, where she would receive positive and negative reactions in equal measures.
In 2017 general elections, Bati initially declared her interest in the women representative seat on a Jubilee party ticket. However, she defected to KANU just days before Jubilee primaries were conducted. In her statement, Bati claimed she quit Jubilee party after sensing ‘some foul play in the forthcoming primaries’. She said that her decision to quit Jubilee Party “was largely driven by the demand by her supporters who felt that they were being shortchanged by a few individuals who perceive Kericho as a business ground to expand themselves.”
Jubilee candidate Florence Bore won the election.
Here’s what some of her friends and supporters had to say;
Ledama Kiplangat on Facebook wrote: “Kekerwon ng’o umen rep Bati Vicky Chepkorir?” (Who has seen women rep Bati Vicky Chepkorir?)
Some cheeky Kericho residents suggested that she could have been expectant and probably has recently ‘downloaded’ hence taking a maternity leave off social media.
Dennis Kipkemoi wrote: “She has get into the house I think” (Probably she has given birth and she’s on leave)
Maddison Mount asked: “Was she heavy?” (Was she expectant?)
Where is Bati Vicky? is the questions that many of her friends and supporters are asking. Perhaps she somewhere planning on her next move. Well, we are eager to hear back from her.
